Spring in Ogunquit
The Ocean crashes through and over the craggy rocks on the Marginal Way sending the gulls and plovers scurrying it out it wash. Then as it reseeds back through it rattles the rocks and stones, pulling and tugging back the struggling seaweed. Clinging to the edge of the sea, exposing the hidden treasures of gods many palates of colors, textures and teaming life.
The summer crowds have not arrived. The beach and the Marginal Way are all yours. The winter storms of ice, snow and pounding surf has retreated with the Fox sparrow, courting Red Cardinals singing the morning mist away. Blooming bushes of Forsythia and native Jasmine mingle with the pungent salty sea air. In and around Ogunquit the natives begin getting ready for the oncoming summer tourists. The lawns are lush and green with Daffodils and tulips displaying vibrant hues of spring.
